Amid the rise of coronavirus around India, there was one thing that never stopped and made people entertained inside their homes during the lockdown in the whole city. It was IPL T20 2021 which was started on 9th April between RCB (Royal Challenger Bangalore) against the MI (Mumbai Indians).

The IPL 2021 was the same as always with action-packed matches till the last overs to win the game. All the 8 teams who are playing in IPL are self-isolated and living inside a bio bubble to not get into connection with the deadly coronavirus.

The matches were basically played in four cities: Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi & Mumbai.

But a surprise came here that all these 4 cities are major hotspots of coronavirus spreading with many people queuing up in hospitals with no beds left to serve them. During these grim situations of pandemic, the IPL has continued till now with no in-person attendance in the stadium to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

Although, many players have left the cash-rich league after fearing getting in touch with covid-19 which includes Adam Zampa, Andrew Tye, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Kane Richardson, Ravichandran Ashwin.

Still, the league continued with all the available players but the turning point comes today when news comes out the RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) & KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) match has been rescheduled after players have come in contact with the virus and tested Positive.

The player who is having Covid-19 Positive test results includes Varun Chakravarthy & Sandeep Warrier.

The IPL Officials have said: “Knight Riders have now moved towards a daily testing routine to identify any other possible cases, and that its medical team is also determining the close and casual contacts of the two positive cases during the 48 hours”.

While CSK staff members which include Kasi Viswanathan, Chennai Super Kings CEO & L. Balaji, bowling coach of the team on the other side have also found positive covid results on Sunday but surprisingly on Monday they are tested negative. After which BCCI Top officials confirmed it was a case of “False Positive”.

This is the first time that a positive case has been found out of the bio-bubble of IPL season 2021.
